In the short article “China’s One Child Policy” the author Matt Rosenbery told us that China’s one child policy was established by Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. First of all, the author point that Deng Xiaoping use this policy to control communist China's population amount. However, it is not an all-encompassing rule, because, in some rural areas and minorities living in China are not subject to the law. Despite this, the policy have a good effect, and reduce the occurrence of many cruel things, such as, abortion, neglect and so on. Secondly, at present, most of family just have one child, of course, there have some special situation if a couple is composed of two people without brother or sisters, then they may have two babies of their own, thus preventing too dramatic of a population decrease, it’s reasonable. There are several common ways to limit population. For example, IUDs, sterilization and abortion (legal in China). At last, he point that China's one child policy is consistent with the nation's plan for population growth and would continue indefinitely.
One Child, One Dream
As we all know, population is one important factor that affects a country development. Both overpopulation and under-population will reduce country growth. In other words, only optimum population is good for a country's progress. In China, the government is very strict about the one-child policy, or, as referred to by the government, the "family planning policy." The one-child policy refers to the one-child limitation which applies to families. In the population control policy of China, the Chinese government refers to official translation as "family planning policy" The policy officially restrict married and increase the people's marriage age. Since this policy was enacted, it has improved people's life and let a couple birth a quality baby. Besides that, this policy changed a lot of problems and has a superior influence. The government planned three principal ways to maintain the one-child policy which is the control of population, prenatal and postnatal care, and keep the sexual rate balance. Although many critiques the one child policy in China as an immoral policy, the policy has benefited China by decreasing China's population, improving prenatal and postnatal care, and protecting and rationing resources.
The One Child Policy was implemented in 1982. From the article "China's One-Child Policy" states that: After decades of encouragement to have multiple children. Chinese government told its people that population growth was a danger and that each family should have only one child. Since then, the policy has, for the most part, been stringently enforced throughout the country. Though the policy is not itself written into Chinese law, Chinese officials have said the policy is mandated by laws governing other aspects of Chinese society. In separate, the policy was enacted because many Chinese people would realize that China faced a seriously problem. This resulted in people to comply with the law and try their best do it better. So why cause this situation, on the one hand, most of Chinese people have a traditional thinking, they are preference boy, many pregnant women will abandon the baby girls, or ignore a girl in the family. Since the One child policy published, if your family just has a baby girl. Parents will pay more attention to their baby and suitable care of. On the other hand, Chinese economy depends on people have preference male thought, because at that time Chinese are inferior, and they think male can earn money and more powerful that women cannot. So, if a family has no boy, they will birth again and again until have a boy. This two reason leads china population growth quickly and sexual imbalance. So the Chinese government realized that the problem is seriously. For example, When I was 17 years old, I had a tonsil dissection, when I stayed in the hospital, I found a big serious problem, that hospital is very crowded and many patients don't have a bed. They sleep on corridor even sleep on the terrace, but my parents want me have a best treatment. They had already reserved a VIP room. So, I am enormously thanks to my parents, they really love me and never ignore me. As therefore, control population is the most important thing, and government strict management. In the article, "One-Child Policy Enforcer Crushes Baby To Death After Parents Refuse To Pay "Fine" Jurriaan Maessen point that."Under China's population controls, instituted more than 30 years ago, couples who have more than one child must pay a" social upbringing "fine, while in some cases mothers have been forced to undergo abortions." It can be seen that the Chinese government on the importance of this policy. And from another article "China's One Child Policy-One Child Policy in China Designed to Limit Population Growth" Matt Rosenberg also point that "although IUDs, sterilization, and abortion (legal in China) are China's most popular forms of birth control, over the past few years, China has provided more education and support for alternative birth control methods" it means control population is essential to China. This policy helped the gender imbalance, due to every couple can only be prescribed birth one baby, and pregnant women can't do ultrasound to judge a girl or boy. It depends on nature.
Furthermore, one child can get more educational opportunities and lead people to a better life. This is a good principal way to birth a quality baby in China. The Chinese government is vigorously publicized knowledge. They put various advertisements or have some lessons to the broad masses. If family planning policy does good, it can improve people life lead people embarked on a well-off society in an all-round approach. People do that parents can pay full attention to one child, and give a satisfactory life and education. To me, I live in a small village, and I am a girl in my family, and I think I am a lucky girl, because, in my family, I have no brothers or sisters, my parents very love me and sent me study abroad give me best education. In my hometown, I have numerous friends, but they are not extremely lucky, most of them have brothers, and we often chat each other, they will complain to their family for preference boys. I don't know how to comfort them, most of my friends are jealous of me.Besides, after the implementation of this policy, there are additional advantages provided, just like educational opportunities, it helps to improve the quality of the population of the whole nation. Countries can be accumulated funds for schooling, so that more people can get more and better education and better technical training, so as to achieve the quality of the purpose of improving the nation's population. In this level, the country's economy will get prosperity it lets human growing middle class. So, prenatal and postnatal care is to focus on people's quality not quantity.
Finally, One child policy is assured to us. It changed a lot and brings us some advantage effects. The government vigorously publicizes this policy, through the print leaflet, do some public service advertising, even put the policy enshrined in textbooks. The government has tried to encourage families to follow this policy. They have speech everywhere and if a couple comply with the rules they will get government assistance payments every year. On the contrary, if persons who go against the policy they will face a sharp fine. For example, from the article "China counts cost of one child policy" Patti Waldmeir said that Long Ting, a thirty something Shanghai mother, wants a sister for her seven-year-old son. Nonetheless, under China's so-called one child policy, she faces a crushing fine of up to three times her family's annual income if she has one. I can't image if China has no One Child Policy what will happen. For several year, China has fewer people than before, but still crowded, when, spring festivals coming, the bus station and train station full of people. Foreigner will can't believe it, but it's real. This policy limit communist China's population growth so, one child policy is consistent with the nation's plan for population growth and would continue indefinitely. Fewer people will have less pollution, when this policy published. China's environment become more hygienic. And decrease the resources abuse. Not only that, One child policy also take us many advantages, in the article, "China's one-child policy means benefits for parents - if they follow the rules" state that the state has gone to remarkable lengths to try to fill the gaps left by the missing children. Rule-abiding parents can get a monthly stipend, extra pension benefits when they are older, preferential hospital treatment, first choice for government jobs, extra land allowances and, in some case, free homes and a tonne of free water a month. Their children are likewise given bonus points in middle school entrance exams. I believe that China will be the implementation of the implementation of good and achieve coordinated development of population, economy, society.
One child policy is unique in the history of the world. It was a source of great pain for one generation, but a generation later it began to yield important economic benefits. Will China go on enforcing the One child policy in the future? As far as I concerned, different people have a different opinion about this. However, people have been living better and better since one child policy was established, it has been successfully controlling the population in China. For China, and the world as a whole, the one child policy was one of the most significant social policies ever implemented. For our family, every child is the family's hopes and dreams. Every family lives a better life and every child gets all parental love. To sum up, One Child Policy, it's a correct guiding policy that worth each Chinese pursuing it.
